August 31, 2023 was a bright day on the Atlanta Beltline. A heartfelt speech was shared, partners and investors were thanked, and a hard-working team of deep tech pioneers was honored. On that day, Carbice CEO and Founder Dr. Baratunde Cola welcomed fellow pioneers to our HQ for a special anniversary event: Carbice 8.31.22: An Annual Celebration.

The event marked a year since the opening of the world’s largest aligned carbon nanotube facility. As Dr. Cola noted in his remarks, it was a year of challenges resulting from tumultuous global macroeconomic conditions, but also a year of progress and ultimately triumph, as the company welcomes major new partners and investors.
Georgia Congressman Richard McCormick, MD, MBA (GA - 6th District) and his staff also celebrated the occasion, joining for a tour of the facility and a deeper understanding of the value that Carbice brings to the state of Georgia and beyond.
